A Community Space For Learning And Connection

Come 4 Tea Lah! is an inclusive space where Queenstown residents can learn, connect, and contribute to the community.

Developed through focus group discussions with residents, this initiative is a collaboration between the NUS Centre for Population Health, the Department of Architecture at NUS College of Design and Engineering, the Housing & Development Board, ARC Studio Architecture + Urbanism, and Moderna Homes.

At Come 4 Tea Lah!, individuals can:

  • Meet and engage with people of all ages and backgrounds, including families, children, youth, community stakeholders and researchers.
  • Share and co-develop initiatives that support social inclusion, intergenerational bonding with the goal of healthy longevity.
  • Learn about well-being and longevity programmes, activities and initiatives in Health District @ Queenstown.
  • Take part in programmes that promote social connection and health.

Beyond hosting workshops, events, and consultation sessions, Come 4 Tea Lah! will be jointly staffed by volunteers and members of the Health District @ Queenstown team. The space will also serve as a testbed for innovative programmes that, if successful, can be expanded to other estates.

"We see Come 4 Tea Lah! as a social catalyst. The presence of this colourful little icon has the potential to form a node around which community life can flourish."
Ms Belinda HUANG, Director and Co-founder of ARC Studio Architecture + Urbanism
