We're building a vibrant community where all ages thrive with strong social bonds, lifelong care, and innovative programmes adding life to years, not just years to life.
Focusing on 6 key areas, we work closely with residents and partners to co-develop solutions and measure their impact, ensuring a supportive and inclusive community.
The Baseline Study is a cornerstone of the Health District @ Queenstown initiative, designed to better understand the needs, challenges, and aspirations of our vibrant community.
Happy Village @ Mei Ling — a vibrant community space where residents can stay active, build meaningful connections, and enhance their well-being.
A key initiative under our Preventive Health and Care Delivery pillar, Happy Village @ Mei Ling supports individuals to lead interest groups and participate in a wide range of health and social activities. It is a space designed to bring people of all ages together, encouraging friendships and a sense of belonging within the neighbourhood. This initiative is made possible through collaborations with community partners such as the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Agency for Integrated Care, Health Promotion Board, People’s Association, SportSG, and Lions Befrienders.

We believe that health is more than treating illness — it is about enabling each and every person to lead a meaningful and active life in their own community. With that belief, our range of health programmes and social activities offered at Happy Village @ Mei Ling encourages residents to stay active and well. These include:
Make appointments with our Blended Care Team for health counselling, education, and chronic disease management.
Led by NUHS geriatricians and physiotherapists, these sessions are adapted from the VIVIFRAIL© programme, an internationally recognised exercise plan to improve mobility and reduce fall risks. Our exercises use everyday household items, making it easy for anyone to continue these exercises at home.
Designed with SportSG and co-led by residents, the programme incorporates light strength and balance exercises alongside the walks.
Regular sessions focusing on improving mobility, flexibility, and strength.
Monthly sessions featuring partners covering essential topics such as nutrition, disease prevention, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Guided by the Ibasho philosophy, which promotes socially connected and age-inclusive communities, Happy Village @ Mei Ling empowers residents to not only participate in existing activities, but also to contribute by initiating and leading their own interest groups and activities.
